Phwoah. I'd rate Michael Radford's The Merchant of Venice to be one of the best modern Shakespeare adaptations.
Al Pacino's acting is awesome. The plot was a breathtaking ride, presenting to the audience different layers of complexity and problems leaving one hopelessly dumbfounded and unanswered. What would you do, if you were in Venice, 1596?
